As a digital agency, Build My Tech (BMT) was approached by GoldFinX (GFX) in 2017 to develop a website, application, web app, landing pages, whitepapers, and business cards for their new business. GFX is a fintech company that uses blockchain technology to finance small and medium-sized gold mining operations worldwide to increase production and sustainability while opening up opportunities for investors to invest in gold mining. The cryptocurrency issued was named "GiX," and its value was tied to gold. We were tasked with developing a visually appealing, functional platform that met the needs of both the target audience and GFX with the brand collaterals the company provided, i.e., their logo and the currency.
We conducted a competitor study to identify the main competitors in the cryptocurrency market, including other cryptocurrency websites and applications that offer similar services. We analyzed their platform’s features, functionalities, ease of use, security, payment methods, transaction fees, and user experience. With a thorough analysis of their platform’s user experience, design, navigation, and user interface, we were able to gauge the current trends and technology in the market. We also studied their marketing strategies to gain insights into the most effective approaches in the market.
We defined the target audience by researching their demographics, psychographics, and interests by analyzing the audience's behavior, including their buying patterns, preferences, and loyalty. We analyzed the latest trends in the cryptocurrency market, including changes in demand, regulatory developments, and market fluctuations. We also performed a SWOT analysis to identify the agency's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the market.
We assessed GFX's market potential, including market size, growth potential, and revenue opportunities. We identified the key features and functionalities the target audience seeks for this platform, including security, ease of use, and transparency. We also gained an understanding of the regulatory obligations for launching a new cryptocurrency platform, such as licensing, compliance, and reporting requirements.
We created a detailed project plan and strategy encompassing all aspects of the project. The plan included the development of the website, application, web app, landing pages, whitepapers, and business cards. The team worked in an agile development environment, with regular scrum meetings and sprint planning. We established a communication protocol with the client to ensure we aligned with the project goals and objectives. We also developed a risk management plan. We developed the content of the Whitepaper in 3 different languages, which consisted of a comprehensive overview of all the project details to provide potential investors with an understanding of GFX rules, concepts, etc. Furthermore, we created the Whitepaper summary and adapted it to 9 different languages: English, French, Arabic, Chinese, German, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.
To ensure the success of the marketing plan, we planned for several types of landings, including a pre-sale landing with a 50% subscription offer before launch, a landing page with a call-to-action informing the audience that GiX is at 1 EURO by the time, and the actual landing page which included GiX Introduction, purchasing Methods, coin offerings terms, and the contact us section. Moreover, we prepared the mood boards for YouTube banners and several business card designs, listing all the team's contact details.
As a team, we worked collaboratively and diligently to ensure the project's success. We also developed a risk management plan to mitigate any potential issues and ensure that the project was delivered within the specified timeline and budget.
During the development phase, Build My Tech's team used an agile methodology to break the project into smaller, more manageable parts or features. We worked on developing these features iteratively and in parallel, both in terms of the front-end and back-end of the platform. This approach allowed us to quickly develop and test new features and identify and fix issues before moving on to the next feature.
We developed the front end and design that supports the features and functionality of GoldFinX platforms. Additionally, we worked on programming and hardware development and conducted all forms of testing to ensure that it meets all requirements, is free of bugs, and is functioning as intended. We optimized the performance to guarantee responsiveness, speed, and capacity to handle high traffic volumes. Furthermore, we completed the development of the YouTube banners and ensured that the finalized business card design was approved and implemented.
To ensure the platform's performance, scalability, and security, we followed best practices for web development, such as optimizing code, caching data, and using appropriate server-side technologies. We also implemented security measures such as encryption, two-factor authentication, and regular security audits to protect against potential threats. We performed rigorous testing throughout the development phase using manual and automated testing techniques. This included functional testing to ensure that the platform worked as expected, performance testing to evaluate the platform's response time and ability to handle high traffic, and security testing to identify and fix any vulnerabilities. We also conducted user acceptance testing to ensure that the platform met the client's requirements and the user's expectations.

Build My Tech successfully launched the GFX platform on time and within budget. We ensured the platform was fully functional and user-friendly. We provided training and support to the client to manage the platform. We also provided ongoing maintenance and support to ensure the platform remained secure and up-to-date.
Our objective was to create an aesthetically pleasing design and streamline the development process, which presented a challenge. The aim was to entice potential investors and provide users with a seamless experience as they ventured into the world of GoldFinX and the future growth opportunities it presented.
After a rigorous effort from the entire team, the project was completed within the expected timeline and was well received by the GoldFinX team. We were responsible for managing the social media visuals for a brief period following the launch. As per our marketing strategy, the GiX cryptocurrency was featured on multiple international TV channels, including CNBC's Squawk Box. During the show, Kevin O'Leary from "Shark Tank" expressed his enthusiasm for initial coin offerings through smart contracts, showcasing the wide recognition and positive response garnered by the project.
